Not every traveller needs a Turkey eVisa — it depends entirely on your nationality. Here is how to find out whether it applies to you, and what the eVisa actually covers once you have it.

Nationalities That Currently Require a Turkey eVisa

Citizens of the following countries must hold an approved eVisa to travel to Türkiye for recreation, business or transit:

Afghanistan, Algeria, Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Armenia, Australia, Bahamas, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Barbados, Benin, Bermuda, Bhutan, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Canada, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, China, Comoros, Congo, Congo (D.R.), Côte d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Dominica, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Fiji, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Grenada, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Jamaica, Kenya, Kuwait, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Maldives, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mexico, Mozambique, Namibia, Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Somalia, Sri Lanka, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Sudan, Suriname, Taiwan, Tanzania, Timor-Leste, Togo, Uganda, USA, Vanuatu, Viet Nam, Yemen and Zimbabwe.

What If Your Country Isn’t on the List

Some nationalities can enter Türkiye visa-free for short stays, while others still require a full consular visa rather than an eVisa — for example in some cases involving long-term stays, work, or study. If you are unsure which category applies to you, our support team is available 7 days a week to help clarify your specific situation before you apply.

What the Turkey eVisa Actually Covers

For eligible nationalities, the eVisa covers recreational, business and transit travel, and is valid for stays of up to three months. It remains valid for 180 days (six months) from its date of issue, so you can use it for a trip planned well in advance. See our guide on what documents you need to apply once you’ve confirmed your eligibility.

Still Not Sure?

If you have a dual nationality, a special passport type, or any other situation that makes it hard to tell which rules apply, contact our team before applying rather than after. It’s easier to confirm the right path in advance than to correct an application afterwards. When you’re ready, you can start your application here.
